Electroporation is performed in a controlled manner in individual and multiple biological cells present in biological tissue by monitoring the electrical impedance, defined herein as the ratio of current to voltage in the electroporation cell. The impedance detects the onset of electroporation in the biological cell(s), and this information is used to control the intensity and duration of the voltage to assure that electroporation has occurred without destroying the cell(s). This is applicable to electroporation in general.

L'invention se rapporte à la régulation de l'électroporation chez un individu et dans une pluralité de cellules biologiques présentes dans les tissus biologiques, par surveillance de l'impédance électrique, définie ici en tant que rapport courant/tension dans la cellule d'électroporation. L'impédance permet de détecter le début de l'électroporation dans la ou les cellules biologiques, et cette information sert à réguler le niveau et la durée de la tension, de manière à assurer que l'électroporation se déroule sans destruction des cellules. Ce procédé peut être appliqué à l'électroporation de manière générale.
