A set of media playback and device settings data from each home appliance of a first set of home appliances is stored on a central server and/or sent to a remote control device upon initiation of a suspend command by a user. The stored media and devices states may be used at a later time to control the first set of home appliances, or a user may, after relocating to a second set of home appliances, initiate a resume state command whereupon media playback and device settings data from the central server and/or remote control device controls each home appliance in the second set of home appliances to bring about the same or substantially similar media and device states as in the first set of home appliances.
Selon l'invention, un ensemble de données de paramètres de dispositifs et de lecture de supports en provenance de chaque appareil domestique d'un premier ensemble d'appareils domestiques est stocké sur un serveur central et/ou envoyé à un dispositif de commande à distance lors du lancement d'une commande de suspension par un utilisateur. Les états des dispositifs et des supports stockés peuvent être utilisés ultérieurement pour commander le premier ensemble d'appareils domestiques, ou un utilisateur peut, après un repositionnement par rapport à un second ensemble d'appareils domestiques, lancer une commande d'état de reprise lors de laquelle les données de paramètres de dispositifs et de lecture de supports en provenance du serveur central et/ou du dispositif de commande à distance commandent chaque appareil domestique dans le second ensemble d'appareils domestiques, ce qui permet d'obtenir des états de dispositifs et de supports identiques ou sensiblement similaires à ceux du premier ensemble d'appareils domestiques.
