- 24 - EQUIPMENT RACK Abstract An equipment rack is disclosed whose frame member arms include protrusions, or a protrusion and a flange, that serve a dual function. First, the protrusions, or protrusion and flange, serve to define channels suitable for receiving a cable restraint device which serves to separately bundle cables according to type and/or function. Second, the protrusions serve as keyways along which additional, movable frame members slide telescopically to achieve a rack extendible to a wide variety of heights. Preferably, the inventive rack is of aluminum, resulting in a rack that is essentially as sturdy as the conventional steel racks but significantly lighter and easier to install.
