The filter insert disclosed comprises a multiplicity of zig-zag-shaped pleated walls (43,44) made of a material which is permeable to the fluid to be filtered, the fluid passing through the filter insert from one edge of the zig-zag to the opposite edge. Projecting out from each zig-zag wall (43,44) towards a neighbouring wall (43,44) are projections (45) formed by embossing which, extend in the direction of motion of the fluid and, in particular, are longer than they are wide. The projections (45) from neighbouring zig-zag walls (43,44) abut each other, thus ensuring correct separation and increasing structural strength, and the abutting projections (45) of two zig-zag walls joined by an edge (46) are shaped so that their height increases towards the opposite edge (46) and the edges (46) broaden substantially trapezoidally.
Cette invention concerne une cartouche filtrante présentant une multiplicité de plis en accordéon (43, 44) et perméable au fluide à filtrer, celui-ci traversant la cartouche d'une rive d'un pli en accordéon à l'autre. Chacun des plis (43, 44) porte sur sa face de contact avec un pli (43, 44) adjacent des saillies (45) réalisées par repoussage qui se prolongent dans le sens de déplacement du fluide à filtrer et qui ont la particularité d'être plus longues que larges. Les saillies (45) de deux plis contigus (43, 44) sont en appui les unes sur les autres, ce qui a pour effet une séparation appropriée des plis et une résistance mécanique accrue. Ces saillies (45) de deux plis accordéon reliés par une rive (46) ont une forme telle que leur hauteur augmente à mesure que l'on se rapproche de la rive (46) opposée, lesdites rives (46) s'élargissant sensiblement en forme de trapézoïde.
