A motion transmitting remote control assembly (10) comprising a conduit (12) having an inner surface slidably supporting a motion transmitting core element (16) and a coating of lubricant (28) on the core element (16) for reducing friction between the core element (16) and the inner surface of the conduit (12). The assembly (10) is characterized by an additive material (30) of phosphorous mixed with the lubricant (28) for visually determining the presence of lubricant (28) with ultra violet light (32). The invention also includes a method of checking for the presence of a lubricant (28) on the core element (16) comprising the steps of mixing a lubricant (28) with a phosphorous material (30), applying the mixture to the core element (16) and subjecting the core element (16) to ultra violet light conditions (32) to visually inspect for the coverage of lubricant (28) over the core element (16).
La présente invention a pour objet un ensemble de commande à distance à transmission de mouvement (10) constitué d'un conduit (12) dont la paroi interne vient en contact coulissant avec un noyau central (16) assurant la transmission de mouvement, un revêtement de lubrifiant (28) étant appliqué sur le noyau central (16) afin de réduire le frottement entre le noyau central (16) et la paroi interne du conduit (12). L'ensemble (10) est caractérisé par un additif phosphoreux (30) qui, incorporé au lubrifiant (28), agit comme révélateur de la présence de lubrifiant (28) permettant de confirmer visuellement la présence de lubrifiant à d'aide de lumière ultraviolette (32). L'invention vise également une méthode permettant de vérifier la présence de lubrifiant (28) sur le noyau central (16) comportant les étapes suivantes : incorporation de l'additif phosphoreux (30) dans le lubrifiant (28), application du mélange ainsi obtenu sur le noyau central (16), exposition du noyau central (16) à la lumière ultraviolette (32) pour procéder à une inspection visuelle visant à déterminer le degré de lubrification du noyau central (16).
