A method of making a masonry block em-ploying a mold assembly having a plurality liner plates each having a major surface that together form a mold cavity hav-ing an open top and an open bottom, wherein at least one liner plate is moveable between a retracted position and a de-sired extended position within the mold cavity. The method includes providing a negative of a desired texture on the ma-jor surface of the moveable liner plate, moving the moveable liner plate to a retracted position, closing the bottom of the mold cavity by positioning a pallet below the mold assem-bly, filling the mold cavity with dry cast concrete via the open top, vibrating the mold assembly and dry cast concrete therein, and moving the moveable liner plate to a desired ex-tended position during the vibrating.

Linvention concerne un procédé permettant de fabriquer un bloc de maçonnerie à laide dun ensemble moule possédant une pluralité de plaques de revêtement présentant chacune une surface principale et formant ensemble une cavité de moule qui présente une partie supérieure ouverte et un fond ouvert, au moins une plaque de revêtement étant mobile entre une position rétractée et une position étendue souhaitée à lintérieur de la cavité de moule. Le procédé consiste à mettre en place un négatif dune texture souhaitée sur la surface principale de la plaque de revêtement mobile, à déplacer ladite plaque de revêtement mobile jusquà une position rétractée, à fermer le fond de la cavité de moule par placement d'une palette en-dessous de lensemble de moule, à remplir la cavité de moule avec du béton moulé à sec via la partie supérieure ouverte, à faire vibrer lensemble du moule et le béton moulé à sec se trouvant dans ledit ensemble, et à déplacer la plaque de revêtement mobile jusquà la position étendue souhaitée pendant le processus de vibrations.
