A convectively-enhanced radiant heat oven (10) includes an elongaged cooking chamber (18) with first and second ends (32, 30) positioned opposite each other. A removable holder (38) is positioned in the chamber (18) to hold food items for cooking. One or more heating devices (58a-d) are placed in the chamber (18) to create radiant heat. An air circulating device (40) for circulating heated air within the chamber (18) is positioned within the chamber (18) on the first end (32). A vent (56), positioned along a wall (35) of the internal chamber nearest the second end (30) is used to ajdust cooking characteristics of the oven (10). The oven (10) cooks a wide range of foods quickly and efficiently.
