The present invention provides a hydrophobically modified cellulose derivative selected from the group consisting of a hydrophobically modified hydroxyethyl cellulose, a hydrophobically modified methylhydroxyethyl cellulose and a hydrophobically modified ethylhydroxyethyl cellulose, wherein the molecular weight and the kind and amount of hydrophobe substitution is selected so that the hydrophobically modified cellulose derivatives provide not only an excellent leneta levelling but also an improved ICI viscosity.

La présente invention concerne un dérivé de cellulose modifiée par substitution hydrophobe choisi dans le groupe constitué d'une hydroxyéthylcellulose modifiée par substitution hydrophobe, d'une methylhydroxyéthyle cellulose modifiée par substitution hydrophobe et d'une ethylhydroxyéthyle cellulose modifiée par substitution hydrophobe, dans laquelle le poids moléculaire et la nature et quantité de substitution hydrophobe est choisi de sorte que les dérivés de cellulose modifiée par substitution hydrophobe procure non seulement un excellent étalement anticoulures mais aussi une viscosité ICI améliorée.
