A method of producing an anti-slip surface on a component which comprises firstly applying to the surface of the component a layer of fibre reinforcement, and then a layer of a mineral material, and binding the two with a thermosetting resin matrix. Within the surface there may be a tread pattern, and located below the bottom of the recesses of this pattern is a highly reinforced layer of glass fibre composite. The functions of the latter is primarily to link the blocks of tread together and hence prevent them being peeled from the surface of the cover. Secondly it helps strengthen the bond to the cover surface by reinforcing the resin at the bond interface.
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de créer une surface antidérapante sur un composant. Ce procédé consiste, dans un premier temps, à appliquer une couche de fibres de renforcement sur la surface du composant, puis une couche d'un matériau minéral et à lier les deux couches au moyen d'une matrice de résine thermodurcissable. Un motif profilé peut être compris dans la surface et une couche hautement renforcée de fibres de verre composites est située au-dessous des évidements de ce motif. Les fonctions de cette dernière consistent, premièrement, à lier les blocs de profils ensemble et par conséquent, à empêcher ces derniers d'être pelés de la surface de l'élément couvrant et deuxièmement à permettre un renfort de la liaison à la surface de l'élément couvrant par renfort de la résine au niveau de l'interface de liaison.
