Abstract The object of the invention is to provide a secure pipe joint for high pressures when using split flanges for embracing respective pipe ends. Corresponding flange halves are interconnected across the joint by means of bolts and nuts, and the two halves of each split flange are joined together by means of two connection plates each gripping two of said bolts. (Fig. 2)
