A method and apparatus for analyzing cardiac information involves recording both atrial and ventricular information related to a recognized event. This information can then be transmitted by telemetry to the physician and graphed on a common graph which plots both atrial and ventricular information over the time period of the event. This technique allows greater ability to discern the true nature of these events, including whether a given event is a sinus tachycardia due to exercise or a ventricular tachycardia which might necessitate treatment. Therefore, the present invention enables more accurate analysis of cardiac information and thereby makes possible the more appropriate application of treatment.

Dans ce procédé et cet appareil d'analyse d'informations cardiaques, on procède à l'enregistrement d'informations relatives à un événement reconnu à la fois dans des oreillettes et dans des ventricules. Ces informations peuvent ensuite être transmises par télémétrie au médecin et enregistrées sous forme graphique sur un graphe commun qui retrace les informations à la fois des oreillettes et des ventricules par rapport à la durée de l'événement. Cette technique permet de mieux décerner la vraie nature de ces événements, notamment si un événement donné est une tachycardie sinusale due à un exercice ou une tachycardie ventriculaire qui peut nécessiter un traitement. Cette invention permet par conséquent une analyse plus précise des informations cardiaques et, partant, l'application plus appropriée du traitement.
