The invention concerns an ATM cell switching device, of the type comprising switching means (300) interconnecting a number of input terminal functions (100) with a number of output terminal functions (200). This device includes means for creating groups of connections, all the connections in one group issuing from the same input terminal function and being intended for at least one of the same output terminal functions, each of the cells for the connections in a connection group being assigned (110) the same connection group identifier for the routing of the cells in the said communication means. Each of the said input terminal functions (100) and the said output terminal functions (200) comprises, for each of the said connection groups, spacing devices (120, 220) that re-establish the nominal periodicity for the cells in each of the said connections, or establish an overall periodicity for the entire group. The invention also concerns the corresponding input and output terminal functions, and the corresponding switching process.
L'invention concerne un dispositif de commutation de cellules ATM, du type comprenant des moyens (300) de commutation interconnectant une pluralité defonctions terminales d'entrée (100) avec une pluralité de fonctions terminales de sortie (200). Ce dispositif comprend des moyens de création de groupes de connexions, l'ensemble des connexions d'un groupe de connexions étant issues d'une même fonction terminale d'entrée et étant destinées à au moins une même fonction terminale de sortie, chacune des cellules des connexions d'un groupe de connexions étant affectée (110) du même identifiant de groupe de connexions pour le routage des cellules dans lesdits moyens de commutation. Chacune desdites fonctions terminales d'entrée (100) et desdites fonctions terminales de sortie (200) comprend, pour chacun desdits groupes de connexions, des dispositifs d'espacement (120, 220), rétablissant la périodicité nominale des cellules de chacune desdites connexions, ou établissant une périodicité globale pour l'ensemble du groupe. L'invention concerne également les fonctions terminales d'entrée et de sortie correspondantes, ainsi que le procédé de commutation correspondant.
