An apparatus and method for changing barbell weights (44). The apparatus includes at least one stand (2) having a ramp (4) sloping upwards to a first cradle (12) and a second cradle (19). The first cradle (12) is sized to hold a circular barbell weight (44). The height of first cradle (12) exceeds the height of second cradle (19) by at least the difference between a' weight bore diameter (45) and a bar diameter (43). When a barbell (40) is supported in stand (2), only an innermost weight (44) at each barbell (40) end rests against the cradle floor; the other weights (44) all depend from bar (42) and are easily slid off of, and onto, bar (42). Method steps include rolling barbell (40) onto one or more stands (2), changing weights (44) as desired, and rolling barbell (40) off of the stand(s) (2).
L'invention concerne un appareil et un procédé permettant de changer les poids (44) d'une barre à disques. Cet appareil comprend au moins un socle (2) pourvu d'une rampe (4) montant vers un premier berceau (12) et un deuxième berceau (19). Le premier berceau (12) est dimensionné de sorte à pouvoir accueillir un poids circulaire (44). La hauteur du premier berceau (12) est supérieure à celle du deuxième berceau (19) et la différence de hauteur entre les deux correspond au moins à la différence entre un diamètre de trou de poids (45) et un diamètre de barre (43). Lorsqu'une barre à disques (40) est déposée sur le socle (2), seul le poids situé le plus à l'intérieur (44) de chaque extrémité de barre (40) repose dans le berceau.
