This invention relates to a golf club grip and more particularly to a golf club grip that has non-circular interior golf club shaft mounting surface comprising of at least one flat surface for precise locating of the grip on a golf club shaft. Currently all golf club grips have an interior mounting surface that is round in shape. A problem arises when one has to exactly line up the grip on the shaft so that they are exactly aligned to each other. With a round grip and a round shaft this is both time consuming and almost impossible to achieve and/or maintain.
