A Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) communication system includes a serving BS (Base Station), SS (Subscriber Station), and a plurality of neighbor BSs adjacent to the serving BS. The SS handover method upon receiving a handover request from the SS in the BWA communication system includes the steps of: a) receiving from the serving BS information of the plurality of neighbor BSs; b) measuring CINR (Carrier to Interference and Noise Ratios)s of pilot signals transferred from the neighbor BSs upon receipt of the neighbor BSs information; c) transmitting to the serving BS a handover request signal along with pilot signal CINR information of the neighbor BSs; d) upon receipt of the handover request signal, receiving from the serving BS information of a handover enable target BS contained in the neighbor BSs; and e) performing a handover function from the serving BS to the target BS.
La présente invention a trait à un système de communication à accès sans fil en bande large comportant une station de base de service, une station d'abonné, et une pluralité de stations de base voisines de la station de base de service. Le procédé de transfert de station d'abonné lors de la réception d'une requête de transfert en provenance de la station d'abonné dans un système de communication à accès sans fil en bande large comprend les étapes suivantes : a) la réception en provenance d'une information de station de base de service concernant la pluralité de stations de base voisines ; b) la mesure des rapports porteuse/bruit et interférence des signaux pilotes transférés des stations de base voisines lors de la réception de l'information concernant les stations de base voisines ; c) la transmission vers la station de base de service d'une requête de transfert conjointement avec l'information de rapports porteuse/bruit et interférence de signal pilote des stations de base voisines ; d) lors de la réception du signal de requête de transfert, la réception à partir de l'information en provenance de la station de base de service d'une station de service cible d'activation de transfert incluse dans les station de base voisines ; et e) la réalisation d'une fonction de transfert depuis la station de base de service vers la station de base cible.
