The present invention relates to a thrust reverser for a jet engine nacelle comprising at least one movable cowl (2) mounted on a fixed reverser structure between a closed position, in which they provide the nacelle with aerodynamic continuity and deactivate means for deflecting at least part of the air flow, and an open position in which they open a passage in the nacelle and activate said deflection means, each movable cowl being able to be moved between these two positions by at least one actuating means (6a, 6b), characterized in that the actuating means are combined with at least one means (10) for mechanically braking said actuating means.

La présente invention se rapporte à un inverseur de poussée pour nacelle de turboréacteur comprenant au moins un capot mobile (2) montée sur une structure fixe d'inverseur entre position de fermeture dans laquelle ils assurent la continuité aérodynamique de la nacelle et désactivent des moyens de déviation d'au moins une partie du flux d'air et une position d'ouverture dans laquelle ils ouvrent un passage dans la nacelle et activent lesdits moyens de déviation, chaque capot mobile étant apte à être déplacé entre ces deux positions par au moins un moyen d'actionnement (6a, 6b), caractérisé en ce que les moyens d'actionnement sont associés à au moins un moyen de freinage (10) mécanique desdits moyens d'actionnement.
