The invention concerns pharmaceutical compositions characterised in that they contain, in association with a pharmaceutically inert carrier, a therapeutically efficient amount of a mixture of farnesol .alpha.-bisabolol and/or geraniol and/or derivatives thereof, in particular functional derivatives such as their esters, for example methohexate, their ethers, in particular with hydroxylated compounds such as adriamycin, C¿1?-C¿4? alkyl ethers, or glycosylated derivatives. The invention is useful in particular for preventing and treating cancers.

Les compositions pharmaceutiques de l'invention sont caractérisées en ce qu'elles renferment, en association avec un véhicule pharmaceutiquement inerte, une quantité thérapeutiquement efficace d'un mélange de farnésol d'.alpha.-bisabolol et/ou de géraniol et/ou de leurs dérivés, notamment de dérivés fonctionnels tels que leurs esters, par exemple avec le méthohexate, leurs éthers, en particulier avec des composés hydroxylés tels que l'adriamycine, des éthers d'alcoyle de 1 à 4 atomes de carbone, ou des dérivés glycosylés.
