Disclosed herein is a device for detecting fluids comprising a wand portion having an elongate arm, the arm having a first end and a second end, a handle portion located near the first end, a pair of spaced electrode portions located near the second end, , a ground detection unit associated with the handle portion and in communication with the spaced electrode portions, the ground detection unit being operable to detect the presence of an electrical connection between the electrode portions and to emit a signal corresponding thereto.
