A hose handling apparatus includes a body formed from a first jaw and a second jaw, the body having a longitudinal axis. The first jaw has a first semi-circular hose receiving cavity. The second jaw has a second semi-circular hose receiving cavity. The second jaw is pivotally secured to the first jaw for pivotal movement between an open position and a closed position. In the open position, the first jaw and the second jaw are spaced apart. In the closed position, the first jaw and the second jaw are together with the first semi- circular hose receiving cavity and the second semi-circular hose receiving cavity cooperating so as to encircle a hose. Cooperative locking components are provided to lock the first jaw and the second jaw in the closed position. Handles are provided on each of the first jaw and the second jaw.
