Description

The efficiency performances of drill presses have not been improved very much in many years. The acceptance of how things work keeps the mind alienated from any ideas of betterment. This Invention called the Proactive Drill Press Conversion is a betterment of general drill press work. It is an enhancement designed to improve the operation capability of drill presses thus making it safer to operate and more efficient. The betterment of this idea is a one hand control for all the drill press operations via the operating handles: The right hand does the on and off switching, the drilling and the positioning/locking of the drill chuck at any vertical level. The left hand is always and exclusively in control to hold, clamp or move the work piece. This idea could be made as a kit and sold as such on the market, or it could come completely installed in new drill presses by the manufacturer. Some drill press models may not be suitable for this kit installation and/or may require more work to install. Specific instructions for different drill press models would have to be included with the kit.
