Disclosed herein is a resin transfer molding apparatus comprising a resin transfer mold assembly including an upper portion, a lower portion, and a major dimension extending between said upper and lower portions, a hopper receiving said mold assembly with said upper part located above said lower part and including an open top affording entry into and removal from said hopper of said mold assembly, a vertically elongated central part, and a bottom having a valve afford emptying of said hopper, a medium which is enterable into said hopper through said open top, which fills said hopper to above said upper portion of said mold assembly, and which is removable from said hopper through said valve, a vacuum line connected to said upper portion of said mold assembly, extending through said medium and through said open top of said hopper to exterior of said hopper, and being adapted to be connected to a source of vacuum, and a resin supply line connected to said lower portion of said mold assembly, extending through said medium and through said open top of said hopper to the exterior of said hopper, and being adapted to be connected to a source of resin.
