An insulated, cylindrical protective sleeve is fitted around a support nose and diffuser orifices of a welding torch where the cylindrical protective sleeve has a front clearance opening and circumferentially spaced openings communicated with the diffuser orifices and a contact tip having a central wire guide bore with a diameter only slightly larger than the diameter of a welding wire, a threaded rear body, a front extension passing through the front clearance opening and a radially extending flange between the rear body and the front extension to hold the cylindrical protective sleeve around the nose when the body is screwed into the threaded bore of the main assembly of the torch.
Un manchon protecteur cylindrique isolé enveloppe le nez et les orifices diffuseurs d'un chalumeau de soudage. Le manchon protecteur cylindrique comporte un orifice de dégagement avant et des orifices sur sa circonférence qui sont en communication avec les orifices diffuseurs et un tube de contact comportant une alésage central de guidage d'électrode (fil de soudage) dont le diamètre est légèrement plus grand que celui d'une électrode de soudage. Le manchon comporte aussi une partie arrière filetée, une rallonge avant passant dans l'orifice de dégagement avant et un collet radial entre la partie arrière et la rallonge avant servant à retenir le manchon protecteur cylindrique sur le nez lorsque le corps est vissé dans l'alésage fileté de la partie principale du chalumeau.
