Purification process for the preparation of the allylamine pharmaceutical terbinafine of formula (I), in free base form or acid addition salt form, by distilling crude terbinafine base, preferably by short path distillation, e.g. at a temperature above 100~C and reduced pressure, e.g. 0.2 mbar, and recovering the purified product in free base or acid addition salt form.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de purification pour préparer de la terbinafine pharmaceutique d'allylamine de formule (I), sous la forme d'une base libre ou d'un sel d'addition d'acide, par distillation d'une base de terbinafine brute, de préférence par distillation à passage court, par exemple à une température supérieure à 100·C et une pression réduite, par ex. 0,2 mbar, puis récupération du produit purifié sous forme de base libre ou de sel d'addition d'acide.
