A cover for a forced air heating floor vent, which has a body adapted for insertion into a forced air heating floor vent. The body includes a top plate. At least one female receptacle is positioned in the top plate. The receptacle has a peripheral sidewall and at least one air flow opening which provides air flow through the receptacle. A plurality of air flow openings are provided in the top plate. A damper is provided for selectively closing the air flow openings in the top plate, thereby increasing air flow through the receptacle.
