An interface system for use with electronic display screens, which is adaptable to the different size and resolution of these screens, is provided. The interface system generally consists in a plurality of adjacently disposed contextual windows wherein each contextual window is generally self-sufficient and can also contain further levels of related contextual windows. The electronic interface generally adapts itself to the screen onto which it is used by displaying a limited number of windows possible according to the size and resolution of the screen. The interface also allows the windows to interact with each other in order to provide additional functionalities.
