The "Cigar" shaft, (this is a Trademark), is an improvement of other golf club shafts because of the increase in diameter at a point where the golf club grip begins, and continues to the butt end of the shaft. This design enables standard golf club grips to be utilized without adversely affecting the swing weight or balance of the golf club. The "Cigar" shaft is larger in diameter than traditional shafts and is used for an alternate method of playing the game of golf. Other methods used to increase the diameter of a golf club grip would detrimentally affect the balance and swing weight of the golf club.
