Process for Preparing Trialkylsilyl Esters of a Perfluoroalkane Sulfonic Acid Abstract of the Disclosure A process for the preparation of a perfluoro- alkanesulphonic acid ester of the formula CnF2n+1SO3Si R1R2R3 comprising reacting a silane of the formula R1R2R3R4Si with a perfluoroalkanesulphonic acid of the formula CnF2n+1SO3H wherein R1, R2 and R3 each independently is alkyl with 1 to 6 carbon atoms, R4 is methyl, and n is from 1 to 12. Compounds wherein the total number of carbon atoms in Cn, R1, R2 and R3 is at least 6 are new and especially useful as silylating agents in organic cyntheses. Le A 18 505
