The liquid drop dispensing system comprises a plurality of dishes embedded in a substrate, and a deformable membrane covering the dish. The dish includes a tapered liquid sample reservoir provided with a nozzle having an aperture at its narrow end, a pumping section adjacent to the reservoir and a microchannel for handling to the reservoir liquid samples.
