A window operator system includes a window operator having an electrcially controlled drive for moving a window between open and closed positions. A drive control module electrically controls the drive and locally commands movement of the window and develops an electrical signal in response to a movement command, the electrical signal being supplied to the drive to move the window to the commanded position. An improvement comprises a transmitter for transmitting a through the air signal to command movement of the window between open and closed positions, a remote control module separate from the drive control module including a receiver receiving a through the air signal transmitted by the transmitter, a decoder circuit for determining if the received signal is to open or close the window, and an output circuit in response to a received signal developing a remote open or close command comprising an electrical signal being supplied to the control module. The drive control module further develops the electrical drive signal also in response to the remote open or close command from the remote control module.
