An automated warehouse system comprises a high bay single story warehouse building with a single universal elevator (108) or with at least two freight elevators (108). One such freight elevator (108) automatically accepts incoming material on pallets (104). A rotating forklift-like attachment (106) permanently mounted inside the loading elevator (108) can extend its forks to reach out and bring in material loaded on a standard pallet (104). Each level has an aisle cart (126) that moves along an aisleway for both the loading elevator (108) and an unloading elevator (108). The aisle cart (126) carries a battery powered row cart (138) that can run back and forth along the rows. The aisle cart (126) is positioned at the appropriate row along the aisleway, and the row carts (138) carries, deposits, and picks up material on pallets (104).
L'invention concerne système d'entrepôt automatisé comprenant un bâtiment industriel d'entrepôt à un seul étage comprenant un seul élévateur (108) universel ou au moins deux monte-charge (108).
