The present invention is a process for producing a distillate fuel heavier than gasoline. The process is a Fischer--Tropsch (hydrocarbon synthesis) process that includes using 13C NMR to measure cetane number and a cold flow property in order to optimize the process. Cold flow properties include cold filter plugging point, cloud point and pour point.

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de produire un carburant distillé plus lourd que l'essence. Ce procédé est un procédé Fischer-Tropsch (synthèse d'hydrocarbures) qui consiste à utiliser la spectroscopie <13>C NMR afin de mesurer le nombre de cétane et une propriété d'écoulement à froid afin d'optimiser ce procédé. Les propriétés d'écoulement à froid comprennent le point de filtrabilité à froid des distillats, le point de trouble et le point d'écoulement.
