In the method for applying horizontal markings to road surfaces, a water-thinnable emulsion paint which is acid-coagulable is used and is brought into contact with an acid. This acid is scattered or sprayed onto or into the sprayed paint, the acid being in the form of an aqueous solution, a powder or particles wetted with acid. The method brings about drying within one or a few minutes. Using road-marking vehicles, horizontal markings can thus be put down with virtually no closing-off of the mobile operations site.
Selon un procédé pour l'application de marquages horizontaux sur la surface de chaussées, on utilise une peinture du type dispersion, diluable à l'eau et pouvant être coagulée par de l'acide avec lequel elle est mise en contact. Ledit acide, qui se présente sous forme de solution aqueuse, de poudre ou de particules mouillées d'acide, est saupoudré ou dispersé sur ou dans la peinture projetée. Ce procédé provoque le séchage en l'espace d'une ou de quelques minutes. En utilisant des traceuses pour le marquage des chaussées, il est ainsi possible d'appliquer des marquages horizontaux pratiquement sans isolement du chantier mobile.
