The description relates to a device for embossing and laminating a multiple- web web material, comprising: a first and a second embossing cylinder (1, 3), provided with tips (1P, 3P), said two embossing cylinders being arranged with parallel and adjacent axes so as to form a nip (G) between them; a pair of pressure rolls (5, 7), each of which cooperates with one of the embossing cylinders; an adhesive applicator (17) associated with the first embossing cylinder; and a laminating roll (13) arranged downstream of the nip (G) between the embossing cylinders (1, 3) and cooperating with the first embossing cylinder (1). It is also envisaged that the planes (P3, P5) containing the axis (1A, 3A) of each embossing cylinder (1, 3) and the axis (5A, 7A) of the corresponding pressure roll (5, 7) are both inclined with respect to the plane (P2) containing the axes (1A, 3A) of the embossing cylinders at an angle (.alpha., .alpha.') different from 0~ and 90~; and that the angle formed by the plane (P3) containing the axis (1A) of the first embossing cylinder (1) and the axis (5A) of respective pressure roll (5) with the plane (P2) containing the axes (1A, 3A) of the two embossing cylinders (1, 3) and directed towards said nip is greater than 90~. Moreover, the two embossing cylinders (1, 3) may be phase-synchronized with each other so as to achieve operation using the "tip-to-tip" or "nested" technique.

L'invention concerne un dispositif destiné à gaufrer et à stratifier une bande continue multijet. Ce dispositif comprend un premier et second cylindre (1, 3) de gaufrage pourvu de dents (1P, 3P), lesquels cylindres de gaufrage comprennent des axes parallèles et adjacents, de manière à former une ligne de contact (G) entre eux; deux rouleaux presseurs (5, 7), chacun de ces rouleaux coopérant avec un des cylindres de gaufrage; un applicateur d'adhésif (17) associé au premier cylindre de gaufrage; et un rouleau de stratification (13) disposé en aval de la ligne de contact (G) entre les cylindres de gaufrage (1, 3) et coopérant avec le premier cylindre de gaufrage (1). Il est également prévu que les plans (P3, P5) contenant les axes (1A, 3A) de chaque cylindre (1, 3) de gaufrage et les axes (5A, 7A) des rouleaux presseurs (5, 7) correspondant soient tous deux inclinés par rapport au plan (P2) contenant les axes des cylindres de gaufrage selon un angle (.alpha., .alpha.') différent de 0· et 90·; et que l'angle formé par le plan (P3) contenant l'axe (1A) du premier cylindre de gaufrage (1) et l'axe (5A) du rouleau presseur (5) correspondant, et par le plan (P2) contenant les axes (1A, 3A) des deux cylindres (1, 3) de gaufrage et orienté vers ladite ligne de contact est supérieur à 90·. En outre, las phases des deux cylindres (1, 3) de gaufrage peuvent être synchronisées, de manière que lesdits cylindres fonctionnent au moyen de la technique "dent contre dent" ou par "emboîtement".
