Canvas or material stretching system for user to stretch a canvas or material on a frame without the use of stretching pliers and staples. Special purpose corner clamps are temporarily used to secure the stretcher bars into an initial open miter frame to orient the double sided adhesive strip on the side of the stretchers towards the canvas while maintaining the adhesive strip from touching the canvas. Once alignment is achieved, the stretching bars are pressed down and attached onto the canvas and the corners are released. The corner clamps are removed and canvas are cut and folded into the open miter ends which also have adhesive strips. By rotating the stretchers axially 90 degrees into the final frame, thus closing the miters, and upon inserting U-shaped fasteners into grooves placed on the back of the stretcher the canvas is stretched and ready to display.
L'invention concerne un système de tension de toile ou dautres matériaux destiné à permettre à un utilisateur de tendre une toile ou un autre matériau sur un cadre sans utiliser de pinces à tendre ni dagrafes. Des pinces dangle spécialement conçues sont utilisées temporairement pour immobiliser les barres de tension dun cadre initial à onglets ouverts afin dorienter une bande adhésive à double face du côté des barres faisant face à la toile tout en empêchant la bande adhésive de toucher la toile. Une fois lalignement réalisé, les barres de tension sont pressées vers le bas et fixées sur la toile et les coins sont libérés. Les pinces dangle sont démontées et la toile est découpée et repliée dans les extrémités à onglets ouverts, qui sont également dotées de bandes adhésives. En faisant tourner axialement les barres de tension de 90 degrés pour donner le cadre final, on ferme les onglets et, après avoir inséré des fixations en U dans des rainures exécutées au dos des barres de tension, la toile est tendue et prête à être exposée.
