An interactive picture-in-picture system and methods for distributing television information signals. A display device located at a subscriber site is divided into two viewing areas, one showing interactive television information signals received from a first tuner and one showing television information signals received from a second tuner. A user at the subscriber site can interact with the signals by using an input device. The input device sends data that is defined in relation to the displayed signals to an interactive control node. The interactive control node responds with data that causes one or both of the tuners to select a different television information signal for display. The tuners select the different signal based to on the data sent by the interactive control node, causing at least one of the viewing areas to change, or continue to display the current signal if no data sent to them from the interactive control node.
L'invention concerne un système et un procédé d'incrustation d'image interactive destinés à distribuer des signaux d'informations télévisées. Un dispositif d'affichage situé chez un abonné est divisé en deux zones de visualisation ; une zone représentant des signaux d'informations télévisées interactives provenant d'un premier système d'accord, et une zone représentant des signaux d'informations télévisées provenant d'un deuxième système d'accord. Un abonné peut interagir avec les signaux au moyen d'un dispositif d'entrée. Le dispositif d'entrée envoie à un noeud de commande interactif des données définies par rapport aux signaux affichés. Le noeud de commande interactif répond au moyen de données ordonnant à un ou aux deux systèmes d'accord de sélectionner un signal d'informations télévisées à afficher. Les systèmes d'accord sélectionnent les différents signaux sur la base des données envoyées par le noeud de commande interactif de manière qu'au moins une des zones de visualisation change ou continue d'afficher les signaux courants si aucune donnée ne lui est envoyée par le noeud de commande interactif.
