A method for constructing routing/forwarding tables for an IP address lookup using a skip list. The method comprises dividing a prefix length range of an IP address in a preset method; creating a header node having a maximum level based on a number of clusters divided into the prefix length range, the header node pointing every node in the skip list; and creating subnodes by the number of the divided clusters, the subnodes each having the divided prefix length range as a key.

L'invention concerne un procédé de construction de tables de routage/transmission servant à des consultations d'adresses IP, au moyen d'une liste d'acheminement hors hiérarchie. Le procédé consiste à diviser une plage de longueur d'indicatif d'une adresse IP selon une méthode prédéfinie. Le procédé consiste ensuite à créer un noeud d'en-têtes présentant un niveau maximal basé sur un nombre de blocs divisés à l'intérieur de la plage de longueur d'indicatif, le noeud d'en-têtes pointant chaque noeud dans la liste d'acheminement hors hiérarchie. Le procédé consiste enfin à créer des sous-noeuds par le nombre de blocs divisés, chaque sous-noeud ayant comme clé la plage de longueur d'indicatif divisée.
