An optical fiber connector at least comprising an optical fiber ferrule capable of fixing an optical fiber, and an optical fiber fixed in the optical fiber ferrule, a pair of the optical fiber connectors being used such that their respective end faces are opposed to each other to connect the optical fibers; wherein the core portion at the end of the optical fiber is recessed inwardly of the end face of the cladding, and the end face of the optical fiber is recessed inwardly of the end face of the ferrule; whereby reduction in variations is achieved in connection loss occurring depending on whether PC coupling takes place or not, and variations in connection loss associated with multiple reflection.
Cette invention concerne un connecteur de fibres optiques comportant au moins une ferrule pouvant recevoir une fibre optique, une fibre optique montée dans ladite ferrule, une paire de connecteurs de fibres optiques disposés bout à bout de manière à connecter les fibres optiques, le coeur des fibres optiques étant en retrait par rapport à leur gaine et l'extrémité libre des fibres étant en retrait par rapport à la face libre de la ferrule. Ce montage a pour effet de réduire les variations de pertes à la connexion selon qu'il y ait ou non couplage avec une carte à circuits, ainsi que les variations de pertes à la connexion associées aux réflexion multiples.
