This invention relates to naphthalene dicarboxylic acids or naphthalene dicarboxylic esters substituted with aroyl groups. More particularly, this invention relates to the following compounds: dialkyl 1-benzoyl-2,6-naphthalene dicarboxylate, 7-C1-C8-alkoxycarbonyl- 1-C1-C8-alkoxy-1-aryl(1,3-H2 naphtho{1,2-c}furan-3-ones), and dialkyl 1-(2-naphthoyl)-2,6-naphthalene dicarboxylate. The compounds are useful in any polymer composition where dicarboxylic acids or dicarboxylic esters are used especially in poly(ethylene 2,6-naphthalene dicarboxylate) compositions where reduced fluorescence is desired.
L'invention se rapporte à des acides ou esters dicarboxyliques de naphtalène substitués par des groupes aroyle. L'invention se rapporte plus particulièrement aux composés suivants: dicarboxylate de dialkyle 1-benzoyl-2,6-naphtalène, 7-C1-C8-alcoxycarbonyl-1-C1-C8-alcoxy-1-aryl(1,3-H2 naphto{1,2-c}furan-3-ones), et dicarboxylate de dialkyle 1-(2-naphtoyle)-2,6-naphtalène. Ces composés sont aptes à être utilisés dans n'importe quelle composition polymère dans laquelle des acides dicarboxyliques ou des esters dicarboxyliques sont utilisés, en particulier dans des compositions à base de poly(éthylène 2,6-naphtalène dicarboxylate) dont on souhaite réduire la fluorescence.
