32789CA Abstract of the Invention A spent metal contaminated zeolite-containing catalytic cracking catalyst composition is reactivated by a process which comprises contacting the catalyst composition with an aqueous solution of at least one specific carboxylic acid selected from the group consisting of formic acid, acetic acid, citric acid and lactic acid, and contacting the acid-treated catalyst composition with at least one specific passivating agent selected from the group consisting of compounds of antimony, bismuth, indium, phosphorus, tellurium and tin.
