The invention concurs a process of continuously producing hydrogen perox- ide by direct reaction between hydrogen and oxygen in a gaseous reaction mixture in contact with a catalyst maintained in a reactor (1), wherein a gaseous reaction mixture containing hydrogen and oxygen is supplied to the reactor through an in- let and hydrogen peroxide enriched gas (3) is withdrawn from the reactor through an outlet. According to the invention the tem- perature difference in the gaseous inaction mixture in contact with the catalyst be- tween a position just after the inlet to the reactor and a position at the outlet of the reactor is maintained below about 40°C.

L'invention porte sur un procédé de production continu de peroxyde d'hydrogène par réaction directe entre l'hydrogène et l'oxygène dans un mélange réactionnel gazeux en contact avec un catalyseur maintenu dans un réacteur (1). Le mélange réactionnel gazeux contenant l'hydrogène et l'oxygène est amené dans le réacteur par un orifice d'admission, et le gaz (3) enrichi en peroxyde d'hydrogène est retiré du réacteur par un orifice d'évacuation. Selon cette invention, la différence de température du mélange réactionnel gazeux en contact avec le catalyseur entre le moment où ce mélange se trouve juste après l'orifice d'admission au réacteur et le moment où il se trouve au niveau de l'orifice d'évacuation du réacteur est maintenue au-dessous d'environ 40 DEG C.
