Apparatus and methods for establishing electrical communication between an instrument subsection disposed below a mud motor and an electronics sonde disposed above the mud motor in a drill string conveyed borehole logging system. Electrical communication is established via at least one conductor disposed within the mud motor and connecting the instrument sub section to a link disposed between the mud motor and the electronics sonde. The link can be embodied as a current coupling link, a magnetic coupling ling, an electromagnetic telemetry ling and a direct electrical contact link. Two way data transfer is established in all link embodiments. Power transfer is also established in all but the electromagnetic telemetry link.
La présente invention concerne un appareil et un procédé permettant d'établir une communication électrique entre un module d'instrumentation disposé en dessous d'un moteur à boue et une sonde électronique disposée au-dessus du moteur à boue dans un système d'enregistrement de fond de trou porté par le train de tiges. La liaison électrique est établie via au moins un conducteur disposé à l'intérieur du moteur à boue et reliant le module d'instrumentation à une liaison établie entre le moteur à boue et la sonde électronique. Cette liaison est réalisée sous forme d'une liaison à couplage de courant, d'une liaison à couplage magnétique, une liaison électromagnétique de télémétrie, et une liaison à contact électrique direct. Le transfert de données bidirectionnel est établi dans tous les modes de réalisation de la liaison, alors que le transfert d'énergie n'est pas possible dans la liaison électromagnétique de télémétrie.
