In a machine for the application of gypsum board, it is known to have an aluminum frame consisting of one main beam and three cross beams which is secured by its centre to a pneumatic cylinder by means of a universal joint. At one end, two legs extend downwards holding the end of the frame 24 inches off the floor. When the base of the pneumatic cylinder is placed on the floor the frame is suspended at an angle to the ceiling allowing the operator to place the gypsum board upon it's top. In this invention stays have been welded at one end of the cross beam at each end of the frame. At the opposite end of the centre cross beam a retractable lock has been fastened, embracing a small pneumatic cylinder for it's operation. When the retractable lock is engaged the gypsum board is forced against the two opposite stays thus securing the board to the frame. Two handles have been fastened to the underside of the main beam thirty six inches apart and thirty inches from the centre. By gripping both handles the operator can easily balance the loaded machine on the upright cylinder. A control valve has been fastened to one handle giving the operator finger control of the main cylinder and the retractable lock cylinder thereby allowing him/her to guide the board into place by extending the main cylinder to the necessary height and locking it there until it is properly secured. Both ends of the frame are telescopic to accommodate various board lengths.
