Abstract: Each chopstick consists of a simple rod and a rod-encapsulating casing. Before use, the rod is taken out of its casing and, by reversing the two ends of the rod and fitting it back into the casing, the user can thus use the pair of extended chopsticks comparable to classical chopsticks. After use, each extended chopstick can be taken apart, and by reversing the two ends of the rod to their original orientation before the extension, return the pair of shortened chopsticks to their carrying configuration. An additional feature is a clip assembly being attached to the chopstick casing to ease carrying.
