The present invention relates to a golf swing trainer which is adapted to guide and correct a golfer's swing posture in a golf swing. The golf swing trainer includes a golf club body 2 in the form of a conventional golf club and a swing guide 4 extending axially from the golf club body. The swing guide 4 comprises a shaft 4a and an indicating member 4b provided on a free end of the shaft 4a. Since the golf swing trainer allows a golfer to know the tilt and the direction of the shaft of the golf club body at each of steps of a swing posture, the golfer can naturally and easily learn an ideal swing posture by swinging the golf swing trainer 1 along a specific locus on the indicating member 4b.
