There is decribed a security device (10) and a method for verifying the identity of a person making a transaction. The security device (10) comprises a document (12) bearing a picture of the intended user (14) of the security device (10), said picture (14) having been produced by printing of said picture (14) by printer means activated by computer memory means in which a likeness of the intended user is stored. The devices (10) may be self adhesive for attachment to a second document and be provided in a form comprising a plurality of said devices.

Dispositif de sécurité (10) et procédé permettant de vérifier l'identité d'une personne effectuant une transaction, ce dispositif (10) étant constitué d'un document (12) portant une photo de son utilisateur (14) autorisé, cette photo (14) ayant été réalisée par impression à l'aide de moyens d'impression assistés par une mémoire informatique dans laquelle est conservée une image de cet utilisateur. Ces dispositifs (10) peuvent être auto-adhésifs aux fins de fixation sur un second document et ils peuvent se présenter sous une forme comprenant une pluralité de ces dispositifs.
