A bite piece is provided for use with a dental x-ray system. A substantially straight first portion extends to a curved second portion. An end of the second portion opposite the first portion has a region of reduced cross section adjacent the end of the second portion. The region is received between a patient's opposed upper and lower anterior teeth to secure the patient's head position during operation of the dental x-ray system. The region and the second portion substantially lack transitional edges, improving each of the quality of a radiograph produced during operation of the dental x-ray system, a patient's level of comfort and stability of the patient's head position.
La présente invention concerne un mors pour système radiographique dentaire. Une première partie, sensiblement droite se prolonge en une deuxième partie courbe. Une extrémité de la deuxième partie, à l'opposé de la première partie, comporte une zone à coupe réduite contre l'extrémité de la deuxième partie. Cette zone est reçue entre dents inférieures et supérieures de la face de façon à conserver à la tête du patient la même position pendant le fonctionnement du système radiographique dentaire. Cette zone et la deuxième partie sont sensiblement exemptes de bords de transition, ce qui améliore, non seulement la qualité de la radiographie produite pendant le fonctionnement du système radiographique dentaire, mais aussi le confort du patient et la stabilité de la position de sa tête.
