A sample is divided into a series of aliquots with the aliquots being subjected to at least two successive parallel separation steps in order to resolve protein or viral components thereof. The separation steps are performed not only on a sample but subsamples each containing a prelabeled tag to afford comparisons between subsamples. The parallel separation is amenable to high throughput and automation.

La présente invention a trait à un procédé de séparation d'un échantillon en une série d'aliquotes, dans lequel les aliquotes sont soumises à au moins deux étapes de séparation successives afin d'en assurer la résolution des constituants protéiques ou viraux. Les étapes de séparation sont effectuées non seulement sur l'échantillon mais également sur des sous-échantillons chacun contenant une étiquette préalablement marquée pour fournir des comparaisons entre sous-échantillons. La séparation parallèle est appropriée pour un rendement élevé et une automatisation.
