RAN 4092/7 Abstract The invention is concerned with a dry indole reagent for cuvettes of automatic analyzers. It contains p-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde and an acid which is solid up to at least 37°C. namely a mono- or multiply-sulphonated and optionally lower alkylated benzene or naphthalene. Toluene-4-sulphonic acid, benzenesulphonic acid and naphthalene -1,5- disulphonic acid are suitable acids. Naphthalene-trisulphonic acid is especially preferred.
