A method to remove sulphides and other volatile contaminants from liquor vapor condensate in a pulp manufacturing process, where the mentioned liquor vapor condensate is fed into a stripper, which is part of a closed loop system comprising said stripper, a regenerative thermal oxidization process (RTO) and a SO2 scrubber, in which loop a gas is circulated, preferably air and such components formed or stripped off, in this loop whereafter the circulating gas is stripping off sulphides and other volatile components from the liquor vapor condensate, whereafter the gas stream is fed into an RTO process, where the stripped off contaminants are combusted are under formation of SO2 and thereafter the SO2 enriched gas is led to a SO2 scrubber, where preferably alkali is used as absorption medium, and thereafter the circulating gas is returned back into the stripper.

Procédé permettant d'éliminer les sulfures et autres contaminants volatiles du condensat formé par la vapeur de liqueur durant la production de pulpe. Selon le procédé, ledit condensat est amené à une unité de lavage faisant partie d'un système en boucle fermée, comprenant ladite unité de lavage, une unité d'oxydation thermique à récupération (RTO) et une unité d'élimination du SO2, boucle dans laquelle circule un gaz, de préférence l'air et les composants qui y sont formés ou entraînés par lavage; le gaz circulant élimine par lavage les sulfures et autres composants volatiles du condensat; le flux gazeux est amené à une unité RTO, dans laquelle les contaminants entraînés sont brûlés avec formation de SO2; le gaz enrichi en SO2 est amené à l'unité d'élimination du SO2, dans laquelle une base est utilisée de préférence comme agent absorbant; et le gaz circulant est ramené dans l'unité de lavage.
