The invention relates to a method for the crystallisation of macromolecules in a three-phase system using a container, said system containing a lower aqueous phase, a middle phase and an upper hydrophobic phase which has a lower density than the lower aqueous phase. An aqueous solution of the macromolecules is produced in the middle phase, said solution forming a fourth phase and being incubated.
